Menu Plan Monday, February 15 - 28

I'll be back later to dress it up with graphics and recipe links and whatnot, but I wanted to get my menu plan posted - I've been slacking dreadfully! Julian had a lot of input into the menu, so I'm hoping this cuts down on the "but I don't LIKE that, I don't WANT to eat that" that I've been hearing lately.

Monday, 2/15 – Hamburgers, tater tots or chips, fruit

Tuesday, 2/16 – Pizza from Mr. Jim’s

Wednesday, 2/17 – Ultimate Crockpot Roast, Cracker Barrel Green Beans (Recipezaar)

Thursday, 2/18 – Breakfast for dinner! Waffles, bacon, fruit

Friday, 2/19 – MaMa’s Supper Club Tilapia Parmesan, broccoli slaw, Lemon Rice

Saturday, 2/20 – Pork chops, scalloped potatoes, Baked Zucchini

Sunday, 2/21 – Pasta with marinara sauce (or meat sauce), salad, garlic toast

Monday, 2/22 – Meatballs with sauce, salad

Tuesday, 2/23 – Fajitas, chips and salsa

Wednesday, 2/24 – Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes (Recipezaar), sweet potato fries

Thursday, 2/25 – “If you can find it, you can eat it!”

Friday, 2/26 – Grilled steak, Balsamic Glazed Baby Carrots (Recipezaar), Crash Potatoes

Saturday, 2/27 – Dinner out!

Sunday, 2/28 – ??? I’m out of ideas and out of steam!

Menu Plan Monday - August 31 - September 6

Yes, it's that time again, Menu Plan Monday!



We do so much better about eating things that are at least halfway good for us, and about having ingredients on hand, when I do a menu plan, so here I go once more.

Monday – Spaghetti squash with meat sauce, garlic bread, green salad

Tuesday – MaMa’s Supper Club Tilapia Parmesan, Piccadilly Cafeteria Carrot Souffle

Wednesday – Chicken Delicious, Zucchini They Will Eat!

Thursday – Roast, rice and gravy, steamed broccoli

Friday – Clean out the fridge!

Saturday – Ground Beef Sukiyaki

Sunday – Bourbon Chicken, Awesome Egg Rolls

It's time for another menu plan!

Monday, May 18 - Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls, Redstone Restaurant Famous Cornbread with Maple Butter (the plan changed last week and this didn't get made, so we're doing it this week!)
Tuesday, May 19 - Breakfast for dinner!
Wednesday, May 20 - Easy Crock Pot Pork Chops, calabacitas
Thursday, May 21 - Chicken cashew stir-fry
Friday, May 22 - Fajitas
Saturday, May 23 - Something from the freezer
Sunday, May 24 - Dinner out (by this point, I figure I'll be ready for a break!)

Menu Plan Monday - May 11-17



It's Menu Plan Monday again! I've tweaked the menu just a bit since my last post about menu planning. I've got to get back into the habit of doing this. It makes grocery shopping so much easier and evenings so much less hectic. So here's our menu for the upcoming week.

Monday, May 11 - Tuscan Chicken with White Beans (from Super Suppers)
Tuesday, May 12 - Spaghetti Squash and Chicken Bake
Wednesday, May 13 - Red beans and rice with sausage
Thursday, May 14 - Beef enchiladas with sour cream sauce
Friday, May 15 - Breakfast for dinner - pancakes or waffles (depending on our mood), bacon, scrambled eggs
Saturday, May 16 - Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls, Redstone Restaurant Famous Cornbread with Maple Butter
Sunday, May 17 - Cashew Chicken Curry

Getting back on the menu planning train

I know it's not Menu Plan Monday yet, but I need to get back in the swing of things. So I'm jotting down my menu plan for the next couple of weeks as I plan my grocery shopping trip for today. I'm going to start with Monday, as we'll probably just wing it with leftovers this weekend and play clean out the fridge. (Please note: the planned meals may sometimes be replaced with dishes from Super Suppers, for those days when I just don't feel like putting any effort into cooking!) And yes, we will be adding veggies and sides, but I'll just be making those up as we go.

Monday, May 11 - Spaghetti Squash and Chicken Bake
Tuesday, May 12 - Tuna, Macaroni and Cheese Casserole
Wednesday, May 13 - Red beans and rice with sausage
Thursday, May 14 - Beef enchiladas with sour cream sauce

Menu Plan Monday - March 16-22



Another Monday is upon us, and I've managed to do a menu plan for three weeks in a row! Woo hoo! Without further ado, here's this week's plan - you may notice that I've got some recipes I've listed in the past two weeks listed again here, and that's due to changes made on the fly. What's a plan for if not to deviate from occasionally?

Monday: Cheesecake Factory - dinner out with friends

Tuesday: Fish fry! Brian is picking up dinner, 'cause it's on sale.

Wednesday: Homemade pizzas

Thursday: Grilled steak, Crash Hot Potatoes, green salad, Yummy Delightful Mystery Rolls

Friday: Julie’s Crock Pot Korma, Curried Sweet Potatoes in Coconut Milk

Saturday: Pastitsio, Broccoli Ritz Cracker Casserole (Recipezaar), garlic bread

Sunday: Spaghetti squash, meat sauce, Balsamic and Brown Sugar Roasted Carrots , bread of some kind

Menu Plan Monday - March 9-15




Another week of menu planning, woo hoo! Last week went well - we made a few changes on the fly, but nothing that required extra grocery shopping, and we certainly had lots of leftovers during the week to take for lunch! We had to package some things up and freeze them for later use, we had such an abundance of food.

So without further ado, here's this week's menu plan (published a day late, but better late than never, yes?):

Monday - Spaghetti squash with meat sauce, garlic bread
Tuesday - Delicious Chicken Pot Pie, green salad
Wednesday - Sweet and Sour Hawaiian Beef Crockpot, The Best Southern Green Beans
Thursday - Cabbage with Meat Sauce, Redstone Restaurant Famous Cornbread with Maple Butter
Friday - Clean out the fridge, it's leftover night!
Saturday - Dinner out!
Sunday - Sweet and Sour Meatballs, Balsamic and Brown Sugar Roasted Carrots

Menu Plan Monday - March 2-8




I'm posting this early Monday morning, since I can't do it from work! Here's this week's menu plan - we're trying lots of new things this time around. Head on over to Organizing Junkie to check out other menu plans and recipe ideas.

Monday - Fish fry! Fried fish, French fries, hush puppies
Tuesday - Smoked chicken (Brian will be using his new smoker!), calabacitas, baked potatoes
Wednesday - Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes, sweet potato fries
Thursday - Breakfast for dinner - pancakes and bacon
Friday - Dinner out!
Saturday - Cabbage with Meat Sauce, Redstone Famous Cornbread with Maple Butter (Recipezaar)
Sunday - Oregano-Lemon Chicken, Mushroom/Red Pepper/Onion Saute, Buttered Wine Rice

Menu Plan Monday, first edition!



Yep, I'm finally trying to get into menu planning! I'm starting off simple, and just doing a plan for dinner, since that seems to be our most hectic meal of the day. Breakfast is always something quick like cereal, and lunch, Julian eats at school, and Brian and I usually bring leftovers. So here it is, my first menu plan:

Monday - "if you can catch it, you can eat it" (tonight I'm going to work on preparing some stuff ahead - meant to do it this weekend, but it didn't happen, so dinner tonight is something quick and easy)

Tuesday - Smoked sausage with peppers and onions served over rice

Wednesday - sandwiches/snacks (Brian has choir practice, and he leaves for it not too long after I get in from work and gets back late enough that we don't want to wait until then for dinner, so sandwiches/snacks it is)

Thursday - Spaghetti squash with meat sauce; salad; ciabatta bread

Friday - It's payday, we're eating dinner out!

Saturday - Curried pork with rice

Sunday - Fun with leftovers!
