Thursday Thirteen

I figured I'd give this a try, just for fun!

Thirteen Things about Lisa

1. I'm an avid reader. I once read seven books in a weekend. (Obviously, this was pre-J. Now I don't think I read seven books in a year.)
2. I'm adopted, and I've met my birth mom and my sister.
3. I've played the piano since I was seven, and thought about majoring in music.
4. My original major was chemistry. I should have stuck to science and given law school a miss.
5. My 4-year-old son's hands are almost as big as mine.
6. I'm pretty sure my house is haunted. It's OK, though, it's just family coming by to visit.
7. The town I live in is the Cement Capital of Texas - sa-lute!
8. I love to cook - I just hate cleaning up.
9. I tend to stay up far later than is prudent. (Note the time of this post.)
10. I grew up an only child.
11. I used to collect teddy bears, but lost the collection urge after J was born. (I'm now trying to weed out the damned collection - Boyd's Bears, anyone?)
12. I didn't learn to like coffee until I was well into my 30's. I'm making up for lost time, though.

13. Most days I generally like myself pretty well - circumstances, I'm not so crazy about, but me, I'm pretty good with. It only took me 38 years to get to that point.

I think this is great for a first TT. Sounds like your parents offered you many opportunities.

My TT this week is on new year's finances. And visit my Friday Photo.

Great list. Isn't it scary when kids get to be your size that fast? I know my grandma was not happy when I surpassed her height...when I was 7.

Welcome to TT...and Happy New Year! Thanks for stopping by!

You're one groovy chica, Lisa. Welcome to TT, feel better soon, and travel safely!

Hey, thanks for stopping by. . . I tried to read your TT earlier and I just (still) can't get my screen, my eyes, and my glasses to read that color combination. I can read the rest fine. Sounds like you came up with an interesting list though.

(It was a friend from LA who served chickory in our coffee way out here in WA the other day.)

Happy Friday

Yay, visitors! Hi, y'all!

Marcia, I can't read my list very well, either. It shows up in black font when I try to edit the post - not sure why it shows up in such a light color when I actually post it. Maybe it's because of the template I chose? I'll have to work on that. I'm getting too old to want to strain my eyes to read. LOL
