Forgot to mention...

The meteor showers on Monday night! I saw a few small ones, one really good-sized one that was worth staying up for, and then I decided it was just too cold to keep on watching. I can't wait to get J a telescope when he's a little older. Hmm, maybe I should get it now so I can be familiar with it and really explain to him how it works.... LOL

Lisa,

Just wanted to mention this in case it wasn't intentional.

Thanks for letting me know, Jay! I think I've fixed it - check when you get a chance and see what happens now.

Telescopes are cool, but it is really difficult to track objects in the sky. I can keep ours on the moon for quite a while and give eveyone a chance to see the craters, but when it comes to further objects such as Saturn, Mars or comets, you have to constantly rotate to keep them in site. Meteors would be near impossible to track unless you are getting an uber-expensive model.
